I have an AMD Athlon Xp 1700+ on MSI K7T266PRO2-RU in a Enlight En-7237OAZ case. After playing 3D games like FIFA2002 and Max Payne, the CPU temperature is about 54C. When normal state, it's about 49-51C. Is this normal or do I need to add a second fan?

Never trust in any unknown online vendors!!!

If you don't have case fans it's at a pretty average temperature, try a case fan and see, it should bring down the temperature a few degrees.

Well don't know, if your system doesn't freeze then you're okay. My box run around 43C most of the time, 45C when playing games and I got 2x80mm case fans, a hs psu fan, and a Tt vulcano 7 cooler with the temp sensor cut off of it.. Also have to count that those motherboard temp sensors are pretty screwed up and show more than the real thing.

The guys always say that if it doesn't freeze up then you're okay, 50C is nothing anyway, my friend got hers running at 70C most of the time, could be also a cheating sensor. She doesn't lock up at all.

Don't worry about it.
54C isn't bad, especially when it is 49C at idle.
Although in my opinion you can never have too many fans.
