Hi,

is it possible to change the fax class setting for the fax printer under
WinXP prof.?
I have found out that my fax problems are resolved when using the modem
with another fax class but I cannot find a place where to change the
setting. (Uninstalling and reinstalling did not solve the issue)

Change the following registry key to 2 for class2 and 20 for class2.0 faxing
and restart the service. Please note that this registry key will not be
present unless you have used windows fax to send/recv faxes. This is created
on first use of the modem. Let me know if you are facing any issues.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Fax\TAPIDevices\<some hex
number>\Modem\FixModemClass

Also check the modem properties to see that you are setting the class that
is supported by the modem.
