Old PC game name

Hello,
I'm looking for an old game I used to play on a laptop, so 2002 onwards. It involved a man pushing blocks to 'match 3' and moved through realms as you became successful. I think more blocks popped up if you moved unsuccessfully. The 'realms' or platforms got more difficult, some blocks were covered in ice, some in metal. The game had a 3D effect, blocks weren't just next to each other - they could have been stacked as buildings, walls, etc. Sounds daft, but at the time I thought the game name would be good for a heavy metal band, but I can't remember what it was. In one of the levels, you had to collect a key. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank xx
