As for personal advise, well, I would max out my mobo first(see the max cpu supported in your manual) and only after that start thinking of o/c. Never ferget that with o/c there is a risk taken. Even quite knowledgable people have fried cpus this way.

For what it's worth, I had my Duron 600 @ 1007 mhz (106 * 9.5), air-cooled.
Now it's running a 950 mhz (100 * 9.5). I gave the motherboard (Abit KT7) and Duron to my nephew so I toned down the overclocking a little for extra stability. (His case has less cooling and weaker power supply).
