i did. i used the thermal adhesive, diluted it with some regular as so i could get the hsf back off if i needed to. i just used a pentium 1 fan, works great. i think i may replace the hsf on any card i get from now on. when i removed the hs on the card i was shocked to see that the thermal adhesive was only on half the chip, around the edges it was burned.

i went to the tomshardware forums and all i got was this lousy signature.

on my msi-831, which is a geforce 2 pro, i took the heatsink off, using those little white plastic clips that hold it on, and then cleaned off the white goop that was on there.
then i put on a nice ammount of arctic silver, and spread it out.
then i put the cleaned heatsink back on.
works fine.
i didnt use the adhesive, i used the paste, and re-used the white plastic clips.
i will assume that your geforce 2 ti is using the clips too, so you should be able to do that.

by all means, do it. since they say it is the best, that implies that it is at least as good as what is on there, so there is nothing to lose.
