Hello,

I'm starting a computer company building high-end gaming systems. I would like to get my hands on some Microsoft USB Internet Keyboard Pro's with a silver or bluish metallic finish (much like Alienware does). Where can I get my hands on something like that? There must be companies out there somewhere doing stuff like that...

Feel free to email me if you can help!
Thanks!

Aaron

I don't know, but let me know if you start selling cordless optical mouse and keyboard combos with a metallic finish

Oh, BTW, looking at Alienware's site, it doesn't look like they're Microsoft. They have the options for colored keyboards or Microsoft keyboards.

Hey, look what I found!

Translucent stuff over at <A HREF="http://www.unipick.com/" target="_new">UniPick</A>
Some awesome stuff over at <A HREF="http://www.oberhofer.com/home.htm" target="_new">Overhofer</A>
And similar stuff over at <A HREF="http://www.arborarius.com/default.asp" target="_new">Arborarius</A>

I might be able to find more tomorrow, but I'm off work now.

Actually, Alienware uses Antec keyboards and just paints all their stuff, including their cases, monitors, etc. VoodooPC paints the chassis in their cases. Seems like painting is becoming a trend. MaximumPC had a pretty good article on painting in their May issue.

Hey guys,

Thanks for all your input! I too noticed that Alienware isn't coloring Microsoft's keyboards. Wonder why? I don't know if I have the knowledge, expertise, or even desire to start tinkering with such a beautiful keyboard myself! I may try one and see what happens. But then those white keys... hmmm... gotta do something about those white keys... does Microsoft make a black keyboard I wonder?

I doubt it, but just pop them out and paint them.
You can pay a high school student minimum wage for that. Just give them a fancy title and a good reference letter and they'll be happy. I wish I could've done something like that in high school. Ok, not really, but someone will love to do it.
