I have a HP Pavilion a730N with Win XP connected to a Laserjet 6P and an
Officejet 7110. When I print a Word document on either printer, the footer
comes out wrong. Instead of saying Page 1 of 7, it says Page 1 of 1, Page 2
of 2,etc. When I print from my laptop hooked to the same network, it prints
properly.

Normal.dot is not the same on the two computers. You can import the one that
behaves to your liking, or reinitialize it by renaming normal.dot to
something else. I assume the word version is the same on both systems. The
word experts can tell you more, and perhaps direct you to a replacement
normal.dot favored by some. The word news group would be the best place to
get detailed answers.
