I put up some jpegs of my project. It is air cooled using a modded Alpha 8045 to fit the Intel 478 mounting mechanism.

It's an Abit TH7II-Raid. It has A "K" sticker on the last PCI slot and an "AC2001" sound chip. It also came with the "38" version BIOS. RDRAM clock generators are ICS9212-03. The RDRAM is two 8 piece single sided 256Mb Samsung Modules.

Damn you! I've got a better BIOS and RAM than you, and I haven't been able to get that high yet.
Email me if you want the other BIOS, gives you up to 1.85v for your Northwood.

well, don't give up.
Did you downgrade your bios from 38. There is a special note on that for a procedure at the Abit web site.

Why would I downgrade my BIOS? Mine is dated 12/4, just like 38.

No, it's an actual BIOS from Abit, just not a publicly released one.

is your pci/agp bus 39/78mhz? or does the abit board cut it again at 150MHZ? if not how are your cards doing at those speeds, is it perfectly stable??

The TH7II-RAID can lock the AGP and PCI busses so you don't go out of spec (or at least not too much).

Yes It's stable at 150 FSB but the memory scores are worse than 133FSB because the memory is at PC1066 at 133FSB.
Now I may do a voltage mod for the vmem. I have read somewhere that an increase to 2.7v vmem will give a chance to hit beyond 135FSB with the mem at full speed, which seems to be my current limit. I already know this processor can run upto 156FSB so I would like to try for PC1200mem at FSB 150.

how much worse? not too bad i would imagine.

also , if i put a 150/155 MHz FSB on a 1.6 (give me around 2.5GHz with my watercooler), what would the PCI/AGP bus run at??

It'll be locked at 33/66. No worries.
Mem scores:

@2.4=......3215/3211
@2.5=......3328/3314
@2.133=...3353/3349
@2.167=...3431/3422

Yes, but I needed to go to 1.9v vcore. With watercooling you may reach it at a little lower vcore. Also I'm looking into upping my vmem to go higher with max memory settings. From my research so far 2.7vmem is what to shoot for.

I'm curious as to what Power supply you are using. I would imagine that you would need a beefy PSU to be able to reach these ultra-high clock speeds. This might be something to consider for people who want to buy a P4 and overclock it. I have a 430W Enermax myself, so I think I'll be fine if I decide to go the P4 route.

Yes, I have an Enermax 450 which is an actual 431 watts. I have actually read a lot of bad things of the 3 and 5 volt rails dropping on these, but I haven't experienced that at all.

That only happens with the Athlon. The P4 uses the 12V rail, but the Athlon uses the 5V rail.
