Hello, people. So basically, I have Oblivion: Game of the Year edition, the Russian version, and recently it started to lag a lot :( . I thought it was because I have over 25 different mods :/ . It used to run smoothly just over 60 FPS but now it runs under 30 :\ . I tried uninstalling the mods, but it only ran like two frames faster :fou: . I tried putting it on very low graphics quality (originally it ran at very high with V-sync on) but it wouldn't even start  . I tried installing Operation Optimization (an Oblivion mod that keeps the meshes of the game the same, but optimizes them) and it really helped get me up to 40-50 FPS :3 , until I see an NPC, and it lowers to about 20 FPS >:c . It is really annoying me, and it's game-breaking :c .

My specs are:
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601)
System Manufacturer: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.
System Model: K53SV
BIOS: BIOS Date: 02/14/11 17:33:57 Ver: 04.06.03
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2410M CPU @ 2.30GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.3GHz
Memory: 4096MB RAM
Page file: 2446MB used, 5567MB available
DirectX Version: DirectX 11
Display: Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000
Sound: Realtek High Definition Audio
Also, I have an Nvidia Geforce GT 500 or something.

I am a normal computer user and PC gamer. If someone can help, it would be appreciated.

Things I tried so far:
Running the game as administrator
Running the game in Windows XP SP2 compability
Running the game without mods
Running the game without OBSE
Running the game on very low quality
Defraging my hard drive using RegCure Pro

Games my computer can run:
Crysis on High
Skyrim on High
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II on highest
Both Bethesda's Fallouts on Ultra High
Saints Row: The Third on Medium
Just Cause 2 on High

Help, plox :3 . I just want to play this gem of a game again :c . Thanks in advance >:3 .

Neither of Geforce 5xx series cards got less than 1 GB of VRAM, and there's no way to hit that limit with a 6 year old game.

Also, Oblivion crashes everytime when I exit, which is not that bad, but a slight annoyance. I am downloading two mods for that. One is called Fast Exit. The other is called Window Earle's Oblivion Crash Prevention System
