Hey there,

I want to start recording PS3 gameplay for my YouTube channel

However, I know little to nothing in such a matter. So I need a bit of help in this area

First, what would be the best capture cards to record PS3 gameplay with in terms of quality and HD resolution?

Second, do capture cards store gameplay on a HDD or do they stream it to the PC and then I have to record it from there using software such as Fraps?

And lastly, what's the format that most capture cards store gameplay videos as?

More about : recording gameplay

The best at the moment is the Hauppage HDPVR you will record and play at 1080i resolution. The PVR plugs into your computer via USB and stores your recordings on your computer. Don't worry about the format (I don't remember what it is :D ) it will work with youtube and any video editing software.
