I am trying to provide some long distance help for an my aunt with a
Presario S5000V. She told me that her video has recently started to show
upside down. I walked her through a few t/s procedures, but before I have
her try to reload drivers (or drive the 200+ miles to do it for her) I
wanted to ask some advice from some of you who may have seen this before.
Here are a few details..

She is running XP Home edition
The monitor is right side up ( I just had to make sure)
As it boots, the info is right side up until XP loads, then it flips.
I walked her through most of the video adapter settings and couldn't find
any that would cause this. In Safe mode it is also upside down, so I
couldn't see it being refresh rate, color or resolution related.
She hasn't loaded anything recently, w/exception of automatic updates. She
ran a Norton's virus scan with no viruses reported.

If it is using intel graphics move the mouse to the bottom right corner in the task tray right click on the icon that looks like a computer monitor and go to intel's graphics program in there you should see a rotate monitor

if you have Nvidia go to Nvidia control panel by the same process or by right clicking on any place on the desktop. the drop down list would bring up Nvida control panel

a simolar process would work for ATI

I would such the web on how to do this first.

i don't have the program with me so I cannot show you in depth
