I can't belive there are as many people so desperate for a title that
they stay on the Isle of Refruge long enough to kill 500 goblins just
so they can get the title of Hunter of Goblins.

It's not like it gets you anything, no status with merchants or
anything else other than the display after your name.

I agree, so I was astonised today to see a Destroyer of Goblins. I
think this requires 5000 kills, though maybe they have been
slaughtering Goblins in the Forest Ruins too.

Hunter is just 500. Same with Hunter of Gnolls and of Orcs (Which
happens to be the same number you need for the betrayal to quests).
And, ya know, it's not like they're hurting you or anything by getting
the title before they leave. Why does anyone care?

Me either, but the vast majority with that title have been
hunting in EL and RE, not IoR. But IoR gives you a
decent start on the 500 needed anyway if you want to
complete all the quests on the island.

The blue guys in the forest ruins count as goblins :) Also there are 2
islands in the NE corner of Antonica that have goblins on them. Thats
where I got my title at.

There is a second title past Hunter. Slayer, I think, at 5,000. If there's
a Destroyer one, it's even more kills than that.

And I don't think anyone cares... it's just, when you see it, you sort of have
to say "_Damn_.... now there's someone with _way_ too much time on their
hands."

Maybe he got confused, thought he was in EQ1, and was trying to raise
faction to get into Cabilis? :-)

Slayer is 5,000 kills. Destroyer is 10,000 kills.

Slayer is kind of easy depending on how you do it. The BBC quest
requires you to kill 1,000 'sentinent' beings before you can go back
home. It took me under two hours to rip through them with a friend
(orcs in this case).

Sitting down to do them all at once might take awhile and be incredibly
dull. Doing them over the course of awhile because of quests you
probably won't even notice.

Yep, and most of the mob types in question are actually out there for
most levels of play, so it's not like you need to go slaughter hordes of
greys in order to get the titles either.
