Hi,

I just upgraded my desktop to SP2 and I am unable to print from any
application (notepad, wordpad, word, IE, Acrobat, etc.). Printer is
connected locally to LPT1.

I connected my notebook from work to the printer (running Win XP SP1)
and am able to print just fine, so nothing wrong with the printer
cable. I checked on the HP site to see if there are new drivers and I
have the latest drivers loaded (May 2002).

Has any one had this problem? Looking for an urgent fix.
regards,

enigma

Just wanted to add that the documents remain queued and then error out.

Did you do the automatic update from 12/16 or 12/17? We are having a problem
printing after doing that update.

Have you deleted the drivers for the printer (not just remove the printer)?

Afterwards, (after clearing the temp folder), reinstall the drivers.

courtney sends...

P.S. None of the updates in SP2 relate to local ports except the USB port.
