Software to overclock???

I talked briefly to a man in my store about overclocking. He said he had a labtop 350 overclocked to 700mb using software. He only said that it was not avaliable to the public. Is this even possible to do? If so how will software do that much.

I know a sorny when i see one.

there are applixations that will allow you to change you fsb form windows.


there is no way this guy got that cpu that high. it would make to much heat for the laptop to handel and would eat batteries like no other

Like the others above have said. He plain lied to you about the 350 to 700 overclock on a laptop. Just plain lied.!#&)(%$@$$& computer shop people will tell you whatever they think you want to hear.

A guy today told me that a Linksys WAP11(wireless access point) would communicate with a Linksys BEFW11S4 (wireless access point-router w/4port switch). Because i wanted 2 WAP11s to finish upgrading our home network and they only had one in stock. This was the "network specialist" behind the upgrade counter at Best Buy.

Now back to the "Software overclock". This is possible on a lot of motherboards. Even some OEMs. there is SETFSB, CPU Boost and Soft FSB. all of which are available from the netAnd a couple others but I can't remember their names.

I aint signing nothing!!!

The only 350's were PII's and AMD K-6's, neither will ever see 700MHz except with liquid nitrogen cooling or the like!
