Do I Need A New Heatsink/Fan?

I have an Akasa 785 on a AMD Athlon XP1700+ which produces a temp of 42C. Do I need a new heatsink/fan? Will I get better performance if I do get a new one?

your xp 1.7 is running PERFECTLY fine, your cpu temp is very low, you could get it to run even lower if u choose the swiftech range, but i dont' really see the point in doing that, no ,it dosn't make your computer runs faster if u get your cpu even colder, but a low cpu temp will give overall system stability as well as a piece of mind.
