ASUS probe

Hi all,
I have installed the asus probe and in the past it was considered that it read 10c higher than reality, is this still the case or is this the true CPU core temperature?

Asus- A7V266-E Bios 1004B. Is there a Bios update and what does it include/fix?
Thankyou.

Is the sensor reading from the CPU electronically or is it a probe underneath the unit?

I have the A7V266-E and I am using a temp probe next to the die. There is a 9ºc difference between MB monitor and the temp
probe. The temp probe reads reads cooler. The sensor that the MB uses is underneath the cpu. I would imagine the temp is
between 5-9ºc difference. The latest official BIOS is 1007e.bin final. It fixed memory compatibility and adds support up to
XP 2100+.

Thankyou for your response
What do the other Bios fixes/updates preceding this include, are all of them included in 1007e.bin final?

You can test with MBM 5 and see if the temp readings differ much: http://mbm.livewiredev.com.
