Command interpreter??

On my other computer I have just fdisked and reformatted the hard drive and now after I have installed Windows 98se, when it boots I get a message:

Type the name of the command interpreter.

I have tried typing in C:\windows\command.com and c:\command.com and nothing happens.

Anyone have any ideas?

Doesn't look like the OS is installed properly.

I figured it out...

fdisk /mbr seemed to do the trick

Just curious, did your previous installation have Linux or other O/S installed?

The drive had Win95 then Win98(not se though)
