Currently i'm using the stock retail intel cooling setup on my 1.7 p4, i can overclock it to 1836 easy enough and at idle it runs at 47.5C only 1C higher than at 1.7 but when playing games at 1836 the heatsink gets quite hot compared to playing at 1.7. So, i'm wondering if this cooler: http://www.directron.com/indigo.html would make any real difference me. I have good case cooling, 4 antec case fans 2 intake 2 exhaust. 1 PCI jet cooler exhaust, and 1 3 fan unit between my cd drives...powersupply also has 1 intake and 1 exhaust. Would that cpu sink/fan make the cpu stay any cooler in overclocking than the stock one?

personally, i woudn't get a thermal take ORB range hsf as they don't perform very well. get a swiftech range hsf and that'll cool your cpu down about 10 degree, but remember 2 inprove your case air circulation as well.

oh well, too late as of my last post...its prolly at my house already. If its as good as the stock one it'll work fine, just couldnt get all the old crud off that stock one when i went to put artic silver on it. Have good case cooling. If it dont work so well...only 13 bucks...i'll try a swiftech then....
