MS Fax connection problem

I have faxing using an internal modem. Prior to downloading SP2, the MS fax
and console worked great. Now, I'm getting errors such as "An attempt to
connect to the fax printer failed..." but since I'm not faxing using a
printer and, since I'm currently "on line" proving the modem works, I'm not
sure what to check. I later receive the following error: 'MS Shared Fax
Driver' printer driver not installed.. install now? I've reinstalled my
Lexmark injet printer, but this doesn't help. I've tried Help and read most
of the newsgroup messages..... please help.
