Hi everyone :na:

I'm having crashes with this certain game, but not with my the other games, iv'e already updated all my drivers and updated windows, and did sfc/scannow, chckdsk with no other errors found, what i find weird is there are times it seems to work but most of the time it doesn't.

the game crashes just about the load screen, and after it crashes it seems to mess up my system, can't open other programs after the crash (it says i don't have enough memory) then i need to restart my pc, my other games runs fine, also when i run the dxdiag after the crash my laptop seems not to recognize my video driver, i'm only having this problem in this certain game, i can't seem to find the culprit why this game crashes

here is the appcrash report from nirsoft

Solution
Now I'm pretty sure it's windows issue not releasing taken memory. When programs quit, OS automatically released used memory by them, but in your case it seems it does not. I'd suggest reinstalling windows.

Memory leaks are software problems, not hardware. A memory leak occurs when poor coding fails release used memory when finished with. Typically a memory leak causes problems over time when the memory wasting application has run it's code many times. It is very unlikely a memory leak would cause a program to crash on load.

Regardless, it was worth testing your memory anyway.

I would check the online forums for the sevencore game to see if the problem is known. Also verify your laptop meets the minimum specifications to play the game.

Good luck.

;) that was kinda insightful (tech noob here) anyways thanks,

and about the game i reported it with their techs, and they can't seem to pinpoint what's causing it (i was the first one who had this problem  ), but there are some instances that i can play the game (after re-installing it several times) but most of the time it just crashes(reports from crashes has the same fault module name:ntdll.dll) and messes up everything (i can't open any other programs due to low memory), i was just wondering if there something wrong with my laptop or the game itself :(

here the minimum requirement for the game

Intel Pentium 4 2.4 GHz or AMD Athlon XP 2100+
NVIDIA GeForce 6600 or ATI Radeon X1300
1 GB RAM
Windows XP or newer
DirectX 9.0c or newer
4 GB of disk space

and here is mine

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2410M CPU @ 2.30GHz
GeForce GT 520M
Windows 7 Ultimate Edition (build 7600), 32-bit
4 GB RAM

anyways, thanks for the help again guys :bounce:

i have done that too, my memory goes from 38% to 80% and doesn't go down after the game crashes and closes, i usually restart my laptop to make my programs run again

when i open other programs(this is after the crash) i also get this error

The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please
see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail.

i reinstalled all Microsoft Visual C++, still to no avail its the same thing...

this is before i launch the game
before.jpg

this is after the crash, i can't do some screenshots because when i open new programs it says low on memory or resources

DSC00225.jpg

i also waited for several minutes to let the physical memory to return to its previous but it doesn't happen, i need to restart everything

:heink: anyways thanks again sunius for bearing with me

your pc is full of junk... use ccleaner to clean out your startup entries. all you want is your antivirus. keyboard and mouse drivers audio pannel. everything else should be disabled.
then get windows 7 manager and use its optomize feature to dissable unneeded services and set things like itunes to manual start instead of auto... you will free up a lot of system resorces and likely stop the problem your having. it may well be a memory leak but its likely made worse because of all the other crapware running.
like i say just follow the step by step in windows 7 managers optomizer and you will see a huge difference. and probably fix your game at the same time.
a healthy well maintained pc should have about 55-60 processes running depending on the antivirus you use... if you dont know which services to set to manual or delete then you have some google fun ahead of you...
start by googling win 7 perfomance tweaks. then 10 of the best win 7 optomizations...
if your unsure whether something can me disabled make sure you google it and get a few opinions... you can cause a system stall if you get it wrong...
but windows 7 manager will do a lot of it for you...

Hey, I'm new to the forums and I made an account because I'm facing the same problem. Could anyone help me? My problem is similar to PaintMe'! The game runs sometimes and crashes sometimes. Also, I have to run the game, Spec Ops The Line, with Windows 95 compatibility options along with admin privileges. I'm running Windows 8 and I happen to barely meet the minimum requirements. But when the game runs, it runs fine and happens to crash at certain intervals, e.g, while loading or when I resume my game. When I start the game, it shows the first screen and then boom!, It crashes to the desktop with the fault module to be ntdll.dll. Any suggestions and solutions are welcome.

Thanks in advance,
Cheers.
