Bottleneck in Battlefield 3

Hello everyone,

I am having an issue with BF3 on larger maps, I get some lag when viewing the map from afar. my specs are as fallows

4.2 8-core intel xeon
6 gigs of ram
GTX 680 SC

runs on ultra very well most times, just on the bigger maps, something is deff bottlenecking. I have a feeling its my ram, any input would be greatly appreciated!

The larger maps make the game much more CPU heavy so I suspect its the server processor or the server RAM (I assume its ECC or whatever its called) not being designed for gaming. I am not an expert on this so hopefully someone else will confirm or give you the real reason.
