I'm trying to play some old RTS games with my brother on our 2 computers but they don't support LAN only TCP/IP.

Unfortunately I can't seem to get it to work, I host a one one of my computers but the other one never seems to be able to find it. Both computers are hooked up to one router for LAN gaming, which works (nothing like a little civ4). Im also sure that I entered the IP address on the joining computer correctly so I don't think its a human error.

The two games I want to play are Dungeon Keeper 2 and Strong Hold Crusader

Can anyone help me?

Solution
I would guess that your computers firewall is blocking the connetion. Had a quick google and and found that Strong Hold Crusader uses the following ports.
TCP Ports
2300-2400,47624
UDP Ports
2300-2400
you would have to open the listed ports for computer on your lan.
