HI i'm a newbie to computer stuff recently.
i've got a system running under Duron1.2Ghz and a motherboard of K7S5A. I heard that the front bus speed of duron can go up to 200. i went to bios and it showed as 100/100. i tried to change it to 133/133 and it ended up not booting so i had to reset the cmos memory. Can you tell me what the 100/100 represents? and can i overclock Duron processor?

The FSB of the Duron runs on a double pumped 100 MHz. bus which in effect makes it 200 MHz. So your 100 MHz. setting is correct and drives the CPU to 1200 MHz. with a 12X multiplier. You can probably push this some, but not all the way to 133 which would try and push your poor little Duron to 1600 MHz.!

The 100/100 setting I think refers you your FSB/Memory speeds and assuming you're running PC2100 DDR memory, you should set the memory to 133 which also "double pumps" the memory bus to 266 MHz.
