When I start my half-life/counter-strike application, i hear the music and sound-effects of the opening, but there is nothing at all displayed on the screen. This happened right after I switched my monitor to a flatscreen. I'm not sure if the resolution/refresh is incorrect so it can't display or what, but i need help. Reinstalling did nothing. To clarify, I reinstalled directX, the video drivers, and the game. I have this problem with definitely one other game and maybe others (Axis and Allies doesnt work in the same way haha). And my computer is probably not simply "screwed" either, so thanks in advance if that was the advice you were going to give <smile>excited</smile>

Check the monitor's driver. You never know.

maybe your running above the refresh rate/resolution supporting your monitor.
