Each time my computer goes into sleep mode my printer is unable to print when
it wakes. I get a "enable bidirectional support" error. However, when I go
and check printer property to see if this is checked, it is already enabled.
I am running windows xp and have tried several different printers, but get
same error.

You need to open your BIOS and enable bi-directional support there.

Where exactly in the bios. I don't see anything pertaining to bidirectional
support.

In the BIOS, under 'On-Board Device', printer port should have various
options like:

EPP
BI-Direct....
