I am trying to find out why my printer resolution is limited to 355 dpi. I
have a Xerox Phaser 860dx and have installed the current, correct driver. I
can set the printer control to maximum (1200 dpi ) resolution, but I am still
limited to 355dpi by windows. I am unable to get the windows print control to
allow resolutions higher than 355 dpi. 355 is the only option available.
Thanks for any help. Brad

Go to the Xerox website and see if they have more advanced drivers
available. Equipment manufacturers often provide simplified drivers
to Microsoft for certification to be include with the operating
system CD. They may not want to write a full featured set of
drivers if they are considering discontinuing a particular
peripheral device.
