Anyone seen this? The backlight on my 705EA has gone out but it doesn't
seem to be the backlight/power board. Swapping the complete screen for a
working screen (from another 705) makes no difference and I can actually put
the "broken" screen into the other PC and it works - so the screen/backlight
is clearly not broken.

So, any ideas why the backlight suddenly doesn't work? Or any Compaq
engineers out there who can tell me what pins to check for power off the
motherboard?

Thanks for any suggestions because I'm stumpted! BTW, I've had this machine
stripped to its underwear (OK, down to motherboard out!) but I can't see
anything obvious like a dry-joint or blown resistor.
