LG VX8000 Charging Problem

(I hope this message isn't repeated; I had troubles sending the first
time.)

I have an LG vX8000 that I typically leave on the OEM LG charger all
night while the phone is turned on (so I can hear any text messages I
might receive from work).

The next morning, I sometimes find the Charging Complete banner but the
phone is locked up. The banner will not go away, and no key works.
The only way to unlock it is to remove the battery. Then, the first
time I restart the phone, the start-up sound doesn't play, but it does
play every time thereafter.

Has anyone else seen this problem? Any solutions, other than to not
leave the phone on the charger all night or to turn it off?

Well, mine hasn't done that yet. I leave mine plugged into the charger all
day (not at night) and receive text message no problem.

What I have seen is, while browsing the web, one page (so far) will cause a
lockup and the phone will auto-reboot.

I think it's likely that our problems will be solved with future firmware
updates.

BTW, I just got my 8000 about a week ago. Has there been any firmware
upgrades yet? I'm at version T80VZV04 now.

I use this site
http://www.sprintpcsinfo.com/modules.php?name=Content&p... to
keep track of updates. It is pretty accurate.

I forgot to mention that in my post but the page lists all firware
upgrades.

I had found out that my 4500 and 7000 both had upgrades available from that
page.

Also the homepage lists new news from all providers not just sprint.

They might of changed but I don't think so.

Thanks for posting that. I knew I got my VZW upgrade news from them but I
posted the wrong page. Sorry for that.
