My compact ps2 is not reading

In turning on my compact ps2 (slim version) system, the start up menu doesn't show with or without a game inside. The cables have been checked and all are working fine. It shows that it is receiving it's power because the light appears green, but it doesn't show anything on the television screen. is it the lens, Or what other means?

It sounds like the video card to me. Most of this stuff isn't user replaceable. Just get a refurbished one from gamestop or something. I think they are $100 or less now.
