CAS 1?

i want 2 flash my Hightech radeon 8500 's bios using Radedit, and when i loaded up my curent bios, there are 3 setting available for memory timing, CAS3 slow, CAS2 normal and CAS1 ultra. mine was set on CAS2, so i was wondering if it would be safe to set my memory to CAS1, it sounds a bit 2 "extreme" for memory setting.

The R8500 doesn't support CAS1. Nothing will happen.

hey, i have a visiontek ti4400, i dont know the standard CAS latency on the RAM, but could i flash the BIOS and make it faster? i put heat sinks on the ram using epoxy mixed with arctic silver two, and have 2 case fans on the side blowing directly on the card so heat shouldnt be a problem. if this is possible give me details (progam, where to find, and what to do if you know, ive never flashed a BIOS before, it sounds kinda complicated, at least for mobos, gotta make a back up disk, and use DOS type commands and crap)

depends if your memory supports it, and i dont' think the geforce bios flashers gives you the options to change cas.
