LG VX6100 Ringer Question

I have a LG VX6100. When the phone is closed the ringer volume is great. But
when the phone is opened the ringer volume is very low. Is there any way to
increase the volume when the phone is open?

I have tried other LG phones and there is no difference between the phone
being open or closed but mine is different. I have not been able to try
another 6100.

Any ideas?
