Win 8, commercial, loads and runs fine at 32 bit. When I try to upgrade to 64 bit I get a message saying, This media can not be used to install windows 64 bit. The current version is 32 bit and does not match the architecture of the 64 bit media. They came out of the same box. What is going on?

The machine involved has a Gigabyte GA_MA785GM-US2H mbo with an AMD Athlon II 620 processor.

Are you trying to upgrade from 32 bit to 64 bit? You can't upgrade, you have to do a clean install.
