Hey, im wondering if this laptop is good enough for Guild wars 2 and if so on what settings ?

AMD Phenom II N620 Dual-Core Processor
4.0GB Ram
AMD M880G
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit

I'm able to play games like Crysis 2 and BF3 on lowest resolution and settings at around 15fps (around 20-25 when not in combat) so it should be fine right ? but on World of Warcraft i have to play on the lowest setting or else my laptop overheats and anything above Medium on wow causes my frame rate to drop to around 25fps so while im asking if my laptop will play GW2 i would also like to ask why it can handle the latest games on low and not handle wow on medium or above.

Thanks for reading

I have i5 3570k and GTX 680, with 16GB RAM, and I sink to 30 FPS on all settings high. I read somewhere that GW2 is CPU (rather than GPU) intensive. I think you will struggle.

Either way I am pretty disappointed with the game so far. :pfff: Having not been in the beta, and my first time playing the game, I expected much more.

My system is mid to high end current generation hardware, and I struggle.
Whether the engine will scale back to your hardware, where it is playable, like BF3 does, is a difficult question to answer.
I find the engine sluggish compared to other games.

i think you can manage but only on low settings, as min ram on gpu required ins 256 mb and shader support 3.0.
