I've read in a couple of forums about an 8500 Pencil trick. Does anyone know what that is and what it's supposed to do?

ED: Also, does anyone know any way other than with a voltmeter to read the voltages on my Video Card?

Basically, a pencil uses graphite, a good conductor, and clay, a poor conductor. The harder the pencil, the more clay it uses. If you draw a line across a surface resistor, it lowers it's electrical resistance, raising the voltage of the circuit. A voltmeter is needed to gauge the results.

What's the frequency, Kenneth?
