XP fax trouble

I have fax service on our Windows 2003 server and it is shared with all our
clients (98/XP). Windows 98 clients are able to send faxes but XP clients are
not. They all have access to the fax console. The local fax and the shared
fax are online at the same time on the XP clients. Could it create a
conflict? Note: SP2 is installed on the XP clients.

Fax sharing is not supported on Windows Server 2003, Web Edition.

Are you using web edition?

No, It's not Web Edition. I have a Windows 2003 Server Standard Edition.

Thanks!

I'm presently experiencing exactly the same problem. Windows 98 users
can connect to the fax server without a hitch. It's only the Windows XP
users, whether SP1 or SP2, who can't send.

I've tried adding a user to the administrators group once. This solved
the problem and he can send faxes through windows xp. However, this is
more a security threat than a solution. I don't want to make all my XP
users domain administrators!

Gogotero, have you found a fix for this?
