I just recently got myself an XP1800. When I removed my old 1ghz T-bird I found that there were little holes in the surface of my V7+, it appears to be from where the lettering on the core is. My temps were a little high, around mid 50's measured by asus probe. My old case was a mini-ATX with very poor cooling. Is this typical or were my temps high enough to burn holes into the bottom of my HSF? I was using AS3.

Also, how do I go about lapping the HS to get rid of these holes?
