Define "best" I am serious.
Best picture taker?
Best sensitivity?
Best speaker phone?
Best ease of use?
Best price?

There isn't a "best"!

There may be a best for your needs.

Why don't you just buy a damn digital camera? It amazes me that people
choose a certain phone for some cheesy built in camera.

I am not sure if its the best but I was surprised how good my LG6100
pics came out. I like the phone and the camera is more a added bonus .
I have had times when I saw a hairdo or something and wish I had my
digital or like a couple weeks ago we went to the beach brought the
digital camera but the batteries were dead (go figure) then the camera
phone had to do. I take pics everywhere of anything and everything you
know something that intrigues me and a couple days later erase or sent
to my pc

I agree both way's here. Buy a camera, there are some nice one's out
there pretty cheap too. If you are going to buy a phone for the camera
feature, the 8000 is nice. Heck the 7000 isn't bad either.

I am not saying I have a camera phone. I am just saying the LG VX8000 is
a nice camera phone.

They are nice. Of course like all phones, they have their little
glitches/dislikes (my personal opinion). Then again, there isn't a
phone out currently (for Verizon), that I totally like.

I use my 8000 as a office phone. It has taken a lot of abuse (dropped -
A LOT, coffee spilled on it, stepped on - more than once, books, stacks
of paper dropped on it) and it's came out working like a champ.....so
far.

My 7000 has been through far worse, and is still going strong. LG makes
a pretty fair phone.

Picture quality on both is above average compared to a lot of other
Verizon Camera phones. I also have a V710 and both phones take a lot
better pictures than it does. My Audiovox 9900 (my current favorite)
picture quality is about the same as my LG's.

I've also owned a 6000 which wasn't bad.

I can tell you that the Treo 600 is about the pits as a camera. It has a
0.3 MP camera. Little kids with crayons could do better.

I would say that the phones from Verizon that are EV-DO ready have good
cameras. I don't know much about UTStarcom(Audiovox) camera on the
CDM8940?
