Hi!

Im a bit new to overclocking and would like to know some examples of temperatures that are good, borerine, terrible, attainable, etc. Just some examples to reference on would be great.

Any help is appreciated.

im assuming that you are reffering to cpu temps...
basically...keep the cpu temp under 60C at all times...
a lot of people will have their cpu's in the 40's idle and possibly in the 50's while under load...as long as you're not expriencing any random reboots or stability issues...you shouldnt worry about temperatures.

The ideal temperature would be the one that gives you a stable system. It doesn't really matter, as long as its below AMD recommended specs and your system is stable, don't worry about it.

ideal temperature for a AMD Xp1.6

ideal---> 0 c on idel and 10c underload

chill---> 10c on idel 15c underload

extremely cool---> 15c on idel 20c underload

very cool---> 20c on idel 25c underload

cool---> 25c on idel 30c underload

good tweaker's rig---> 35c on idel 40c unuderload

most other tweaker's rig---> 40c on idel 45c underload( my cpu temperature at the moment)

normal---> 45c on idel 50c underload

warm---> 50c on idel 55c underload

very warm---> 55c on idel 60c underload

hot---> 60c on idel 65c underload

anything above the 65 mark is considered 2 hot by most plp, so it's good 2 keep your cpu under 60c, even lower if possible.
these are just based on what i think anyway, different plp have different opinion, as long as your system runs stable, that's all it matters.

I'd pretty much agree with that, exept ideal for me would be well below 0C, snag is, I dont have the time to play with pelts at the minute :(

Ideal is a relative term, but in any shape manner or form, if you're running a stable system you're fine. Everything else, if you're within 10 C of the ambient(room) temp of where the PC is at, you're doing good. If you can get lower than 10, you're doing great!
