I want to get a good upgradable motherboard for a P4 2.4 (533). The Asus P4T533-C looks really good, but I hear the the FSB is limited to 150(or 600), and supports the PC1066 (is that overclockable?). The Abit TH7-II i hear is good for overclocking, but only officially supports 400FSB and PC800. How much overclocking would the Abit TH7-II need to do to match the overclocking levels achievable of the P4T533-C? I'm stuck between these two boards and I can use all the help I can get. Thanks in advance!

The TH7-II uses DRCG's (Direct Rambus Clock Generators) of the 400MHz variety, and often these little chips need to be physically desoldered and replaced in order to achieve good memory overclocking. The P4T533-C uses 600MHz DRCG's. 3.2ns PC1066 should be able to reach at least that speed, which would be "PC1200 Rambus" speed. If you plan on overclocking, say, a P4 1.8A, the top bus speed for this board should be good enough, reaching 2700MHz.

What's the frequency, Kenneth?
