You'd better believe it! Fatburger's been here for quite awhile, so he know's a few tricks to o/c'ing. If he says he has a 2.5, then he has a 2.5!

And I have an XP1500+ at 1704MHz! Once I get a decent job, then I'm switchin' to water cooling or better! Then we'll see just what my CPU is capable of!

O'Clock on!

Quit being so modest. You have a high o/c and it runs stable. Now that Celly post saying something about bustin the P4's balls, I think is a little suspect. I ain't saying it's impossible, just highly improbable. I know about using a photo/paint editor to "doctor up" Sandra's benchmarks so, I get a little leary of someone saying they have a CPU that is whippin a P4 all over the place.

When I posted my o/c for the first time here, I figured just about everybody was going to raise a B.S. flag on me 'til someone mentioned that my CPU was a "dropped binned" (fast CPU downgraded/locked as a slower CPU) due to supply and demand. Oh well, I was the lucky bastard that got it and am very happy. Now, I just need a water cooling kit to attempt to push it to the very limit! *I wonder if K-Mart sells liquid nitrogen by the gallon?*

42C idle and 51C running Seti@Home. Using a Volcano7 from Thermaltake.

Why, thank you! I know that anything under 55 is well within AMD specs, but I've been experiencing stability problems when it reaches 51~52C. Those temps are due to summer-time temps and no A/C in the room. So, I'm forced to lower my o/c to a setting that allows me to lower the Vcore to help keep the temps under 50C. Right now, I have the side of my case off and an 8" desk fan blowing full speed at my HSF. One of these days, I'll switch to water cooling. Probably get a water block from DangerDen and buy the rest of the components from Safeway (resevoir), PetsMart (tubing 'n' pump), and Ace Hardware (clamps). Then I'll just visit some other sites that have suggestions on how to install it all.

That should, at least, keep my CPU down to just above ambient room temp. Who knows, once I land a job as a network/server administrator (going to BCTI), then I might dabble in cryogenic cooling!

Water cooling will probably help you out then, I'm using water cooling. I'm running a 2000+ at 1,85GHz @ 32C. No peltier or anything, just two 120mmfans on a radiator running at 1000 RPM each to keep it quite.

Best Regards,
