p iv 1.80 A ghz from new egg. 3 questions

1. should i ditch my amd 1900+ agoga core, epox kt333, 2700 samsung, thermaltake volcano 7+, 350 Watt Enermax plan, and go for this 1.8 A p4 with, MSI 845 Ultra-ARU(its kt333, and is this a good mb for ocing?), samsung 512 333ram,thermaltake volcano 7+,350 Watt Enermax? because i heard so much about people getting 2.5 or 2.6 maybe even higher ghz with a p4.

2. what is the difference in overclocking a piv 1.60 A and a 1.80 A?

3. Why do people buy the piv's without the A(example 1.8 A) for cheap and overclock to 2.4 ghz instead they buy the 2.4 factory speed p4?

if you have money the burn (i mean a lot)...then go ahead....but you wont see a huge improvement in performance...IMO...you're just wasting money if you change to a P4.
2. what is the difference in overclocking a piv 1.60 A and a 1.80 A?
the 1.6A will o/c to about 2.5-2.6....the 1.8A will be equal to or slightly higher.
3. Why do people buy the piv's without the A(example 1.8 A) for cheap and overclock to 2.4 ghz instead they buy the 2.4 factory speed p4?
i think theres a typo in your question...but if i understand you correctly...its because you can get a 1.8A for about $170 and have it operate at 2.4 (and higher) while the 2.4 will cost a little under twice as much...is cost effective....and beside...overclocking is fun
