Hi everyone, I'm new to this board and the O'cingscene!
I need some help...
I purchased an ASUS A7V-133c mobo for the sole intention of overclocking my CPU.
I had an experienced solderer short the L1 contacts on the CPU.
When I got home I tried using the CPU and my monitor won't display anything...I tried manipulating the jumpers on the MOBO, I removed everything from the MOBO except the ram, video card and hard drive and nothing!!!...

I could see the power and HDD led light up and the Wake-Up on Lan led light up....but the monitor always had the "please check signal" message on it.

Any ideas?...Should I undo the contacts?

System Specs:
WD 80GB
512Mb RAM PC-133
Aopen Riva TNT-2 32MB (NVIDIA)
Asus A7V-133c Mobo

Maybe try to replug your monitor in and see if you have a good connection.

What's the deal with lampshades, I mean it's a lamp, why would you want a shade?

Did you test the CPU with the guy who connected the L1 bridges, if not, one or more of them are probably still broken. Try setting your mainboard to boot at default CPU ratio. If it boots at default CPU ratio, then the L1 bridges are still broken.

I had a cool sig. ready, but my dog ate it!
