Why does my fps drop at random times while gaming?

Hello,
i have a gaming laptop which is the asus g74sx a2 with 16gb ram, 560 gtx gefore, and when i play games like GW2 i seem to run the game from 80-60 fps at any time but then randomly it will drop dramatically to 20-11 fps!! this has beeN bugging me or quite a while and i would really appreciate some help :)

open the task manager and go to the processes tab and see if there are any programs that are taking up a lot of cpu usage. If you see something taking up a lot of cpu usage and it's not familiar It may be a virus that your anti-virus software can't detect.

You could have a polymorphic virus. Most virus scans can't detect it because it keeps jumping from file to file, leaving a trail of infection. It also changes it's code every time it jumps. It's also possible that you may have some massive files on your drive that are eating up byte space. I would remove any big ones you don't need and run a defrag program.

All its about GPU fan speed if u playing games go to MSI Afterburner and speed up to 60-65-70 u choise and everything will be fine. In auto mode the fans stack at 33 , so u getting random drop fps. I hope that I helped you.
