Well, i still can't figure out what the hell is wrong with my mobo. I've contacted epox and in the meantime i've overclocked. I'm running at 8.5*180 MHz (1530 MHz) and my actual processor is an xp1900+. The Cpu voltage is 1.8 and i've upped my dimm voltage to 2.6 (originally 2.5). My temps are around 30 degrees celsius. Is this good or should i push it some more?

What i meant to ask was how can i make it more stable... i think my video card messed up right after i made this post. I just got a black screen... weird.

More about : good overclock

30 is just warm. if your system is stable than keep going.
install water cooling if u want 2 extreme overclock it.
but i dont' recommand leaving the fsb that high for the long run,for me i only max it out for pulling high 3dm's

i've already got watercooling installed on my system.. I also have about 5 fans pumpin air through the system.

what kinda video card do you have? I'm currently runnin at 200fsb with my backup video card rock solid, it may also not be a video problem, but a ram, try uppin yer voltage on it, I have my ram maxxed on voltage and I love it, temps are great too 85 degree F on processor and mobo and 70 on ram

i have a leadtek geforce 4 ti 4400. the highest i can stabily achieve is around 180 i think, but thats with an 8.5 multiplier.. i have to try around 6 x though....

Video card messed up prolly due to the fact you had a 180Mhz FSB.

If you usually run the FSB at 133Mhz the AGP bus will run at 66Mhz, which runs as standard. Assuming your motherboard cannot maintain this constant 66Mhz bus at an FSB of 180Mhz then your AGP bus maybe running at about half the FSB.

The value at which it could be running is 90Mhz which could perminently damage your video card. EPOX though is a high quality MB manufacturer so it may not be this. Personally I am not talking from direct experience but from that heard from friends who have done this. I never increase my FSB higher than 10Mhz above normal 'cos I don't have enough money to replace my computer parts if I blow them up!

if you overclock fsb hoolio and dun't want the agp/pci bus to raise set fsb 166

oh Mnx, it doesn't sound like a video lock up if yer screen went black, usually a video lock is full of artifacts (usually), try bumpin yer ram voltage up a little bit (dun't be afraid, ram is designed to run at 3.0 with shorting life do to the fact of voltage surges).

bump it up how much? about .2V maybe? i think its around 2.5 now....

Sorry, is this posible with the Epox 8KHA+? Sorry, but I have this mobo and I heard that some unofficial BIOS can support it. Any clue?
