Operation Could Not Be Completed

Hello,
I'm not able to add a printer driver using the standard printer wizard or
otherwise. I get the generic message, "Printer driver was not installed.
Operation could not be completed." I'm logged on as administrator, the
spooler is running, I've installed SP2, and this problem exists for all the
printers I have tried.
Thanks,
David

Are you trying to "add" a printer driver or replace the old one?

Sorry I'm so late replying, it seems like this group is always down...
I'm adding a new one.

The group is never down, it's part of Usenet if you access through Outlook
Express.

What make and model printer are you trying to install? Do you have the
latest drivers from the manufacturer's website?

Hi Cari,
It doesn't seem to matter which model I try to install. One is an HP
4500DN, another is an HP 5si. I have the latest drivers and have tried
downloading the latest drivers, but I still get the message.

And are they local printers or network ones?
