So I am plagued with problems when I play some games.

I can run ultra on empire and napoleon total war, however when I play Shogun 2 on max settings it doesn't allow me to move and makes the scrolling etc... much slower (like 1/100 the speed).

I also get BSoD's whenever I play skyrim, even though my severaly underpowered SONY VAIO can play it for up to 3 hours without problems.

any help please?

system stats:

CPU: i7-3770 (NOT OC'ED)
GPU: GTX 480 (NOT OC'ED, performs as it should when I used FurMark)
600W (just got an xfx pro 850w, will install in the next day or 2.)
16 gb Ram
mobo: GIGABYTE GA-B75M-D3H (I know, pretty sad -_-)

Solution
It looks like your PSU. After you switch to this XFX all problems should go away. GTX480 is very power hungry card and your current power supply probably can't handle it.
