I've currently owned a V710 since early September. So I realize the
phone is not perfect, since it is still running the First release of
software. I have odd problem that has came up recently.
I had my phone plugged into my car charger, unplugged it, phone locked
up, Not a big deal, happens all the time. Toke battery out, restarted
phone, When I restarted Phone, went to my The Messaging Mail box,
noticed something odd, the entire screen was full of "inbox" meaning, I
had not outlook, no quick text, no create message, all I had was
"inbox' I could still receive text messages, when I did, all of the
"inbox's" would change its status if I got a incoming message. so off I
go to my Verizon store, guy didn't want to help, looked at the phone,
Said "well go to this other store, they have a software update", so off
I go to verizon store #2, gave my phone to the guy, said it will take
45 minutes, came back later, got my phone, nothing done, no software
update Inbox was still the same. Showed it to Ms. Sales lady, She look
at it for a couple seconds, said, Go call Data services, they have
reset your phone? So called Data services, Guess what? "there's
nothing We can do, sounds like the handset is not working" I also asked
about the software update, I was informed it is not a approved software
upgrade, I was told, the software update would corrupt my data.
So before I go waste my time again, has anyone heard of this problem
with the V710 Txt messaging inbox forked up? I was going to do a hard
reset on the phone, but I don't want to lose phone book/get it now
related things.
