I building a new PC. Whats the best XP CPU for the dollar. I will be unlocking it immediately so I will have the most control for OC. I will be air cooling only with a Thermalright AC-7 and Vantec Tornado fan combo. My case will have 5 fans and a Antec 430W PSU. I've been thinking about an XP 1800 with an Asus A7V333. Your thoughts?

I think the 1800+ clocks almost as high as the faster ones.

I got a 1600+ that runs at 2100+(1.73ghz) speed with stock voltages. It hit's a brick wall at 1.83ghz though. Not bad for $66 dollars :).

I'm running an XP1700 @1640 not unlocked. Beyond that I get lockups. The best recommendation I can offer, is get the fastest your budget will allow and tweak it to it's breaking point. That is the most bang for your buck. A CPU is something most of us change on a yearly basis, so you might as well get what you want, then push it. Since not all CPU's Overclock equally, it's hard to say which is the best buy

 Save heating costs on your home, overclock your PC!!!
