Hi, I recently purchased a Radeon card built by ATI (great card, very satisfied) and was wondering if over clocking the card to 300/300 MHZ will damage it over a period of time?
The reason I ask is because It appears to me that the LE is actually a full <<8500>> yesterday I over clocked it to 300/300 for a few hours and it ran without any error and lockups. I wonder if I got the 3.3 ns RAM.
Shortly after I bought my Radeon 85000 128 LE I noticed that a lot of people were posting in forums like this one that the LE is capable of running as fast or if not faster than it’s big brother the retail 8500.
Is the 8500le the same card as the 8500 with just a slight under clock i.e.250/250 vs. 275/275? If so, I would assume that oc’ing my LE would be safe?
Any info on this subject would be greatly appreciated.
