asus a7a multiplier help

i need help trying to set my cpu frequency multiplier on the asus a7a 266 bios rev 1.04 on a amd athlon 1ghz cpu that has not been factory cut.i have been trying to adjust this setting for days and cant seem to find a way to adjust it. it is grayed out @7.5 and skips over it in the bios. i can set the fsb but cant set the multiplier. if any one out there has this board and made the multiplier adjustment can you please help me out.

How do you know the CPU is really unlocked? I would make the unlocking anyway to be sure.
